Position: Senior Accountant

Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a Senior Accountant with strong experience in general ledger accounting, month-end close, audit support, and financial reporting. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, performing account reconciliations, and supporting compliance and audit activities.

$85,000 - $100,000

Key Responsibilities

General Ledger & Financial Reporting

• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Perform account reconciliations and detailed account analysis.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances.

Month-End Close

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Prepare accruals, adjustments, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure timely and accurate closing of financial records.

Audit & Compliance

• Assist with annual audits and auditor requests.
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
• Support compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
• Assist with state tax filings and reporting requirements.

Fixed Assets

• Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset ledger.
• Record asset additions, disposals, and depreciation activity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with general ledger accounting and month-end close.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• ERP experience required; Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred.
• CPA or CPA-track preferred.
